Impact Assessment 2025 — Livelihoods, Skilling, and Education Impact Study
The Integrated Community Development Project was designed to address the complex, interconnected challenges faced by underserved communities across three states. By combining livelihood support, skills development, quality education, and institutional strengthening, the project aimed to build sustainable pathways out of poverty and vulnerability for over 2,500 households.
The project's livelihood component focused on improving household income and resilience by supporting smallholder farmers, artisans, and micro-enterprise operators with training, market linkages, and access to capital. Over the three-year period, significant improvements were recorded in household income levels, adoption of improved practices, and access to new markets.
The skills and employability component worked with youth aged 18–28, providing industry-relevant training across sectors such as manufacturing, services, retail, and digital technologies. The programme focused not only on technical skills but also on workplace readiness, communication, and confidence — equipping youth for successful employment transitions.
The education and women's empowerment components worked in tandem to improve foundational learning outcomes for children and adolescents, strengthen teacher and institutional capacities, and create meaningful participation opportunities for women in decision-making, livelihoods, and community life. Institutional strengthening efforts ensured that the gains achieved would be sustained beyond the project period.
